I have been raving about Beardsley’s cider for nearly twenty years. Our family has been drinking their cider since he set up his unique pasteurization process. In my humble opinion, their cider is the best on the planet. Although farm fresh cider is a wonderful treat from anywhere, Beardsley’s has always held a special place in our hearts. During college, my daughter would routinely take two or three gallons back to Rochester after the holidays because, even though New York State is known for its apples, Beardsley’s cider is that good.
At the shop, you’ll always see kids’ faces up against the big glass windows, watching the cider being made. If you purchase their cider multiple times through the season, you’ll find that the taste will evolve because his apples mature at different times. If you’ve never been there before, prepare to want to take home baked goods like an apple loaf or a pie or two. Their pies are a regular addition to our meals from as soon as the cider is available all the way until the end of the year. I know I sound like a gushing teenager, but Beardsley’s is one of the most delicious country stores we’ve been to.
